The Picture Editors' Awards have for the past fifteen years recognised excellence in photographic journalism. Unfortunately, it has not been possible this year to assemble the necessary financial and organisational support for the Awards to continue, and consequently no competition will be held in 2008.
It is unlikely that the Awards will be held in 2009, due to a current lack of interest in continuing with the Picture Editors' Awards.
We would like to acknowledge with thanks all the picture editors, photographers, sponsors and other supporters who have contributed so much to the success of the Awards in previous years.
Paul Robinson will again continue to fund this website in the short-term, providing an online showcase for photographic journalism.

The
2007 Picture Editors’ Awards were named at Guildhall, the 14th year that the City of London hosted
the ceremony, on 20 June 2007.
