The Getty Images Newspaper Awards
Newspapers and Newspaper Magazines who entered the 2006 Newspaper Awards were judged by a distinguished panel of picture editors, under the chairmanship of the Press Association’s Martin Keene.

Portfolio and Single Image categories
After entries closed on Tuesday 14th February, the Nominations Jury of picture editors from newspapers across the UK and Ireland reviewed all entries submitted online. All entries were anonymous. On 23rd February, nominated entries were announced and posted onto this site, and the jury of 37 picture editors then voted for the ultimate winner in each category.
